With over 20 years of psychological healthcare and supervisory experience across the NHS, private healthcare, and emergency services, and experience as a Visiting Lecturer in PTSD, Catherine McWhirter brings a range of expertise as an EMDR and CBT Supervisor.
In her own practice Catherine uses CBT, EMDR, and 3rd wave modalities - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) - to work with a range of presentations, including PTSD & C-PTSD, GAD, Depression, Phobias, Grief, Social Anxiety, OCD, and Health Anxiety, and brings this experience and integrated way of working to supervision.
